More Information

This set contains the required resources for your student to successfully complete the Exploring Creation with General Science course, as well as several additional resources that will help maximize your student’s experience with the material.

Textbook:

The second edition of our general science course has several features that enhance the value of the course:

  • Scientific advances in the relevant topics have altered how some of the material is covered. For example, the primary function of the human appendix wasn't determined until 2006. Thus, while the primary function of the appendix is not discussed in the first edition, it is discussed in this edition.

  • There is more color in this edition as compared to the previous edition, and many of the drawings that are in the first edition have been replaced by higher-quality drawings.

  • Advanced students who have the time and ability for additional learning are directed to online resources that give them access to advanced subject matter.

  • To aid the student in reviewing the course as a whole, there is an appendix that contains a Summary of the Module which covers the entire course. The solutions and test manual has the answers to those questions.

Solutions and Test Manual:

  • There are cumulative tests in the solutions and tests manual if the parent/teacher wants to give the student quarterly, semester, or final exams.

  • The tests in the solutions and tests manual contain a point system that aids the parent/teacher in grading the tests.

  • Finally, even though the module tests are found in the solutions and tests manual (so that the parent/teacher always has a copy of them), a second set of tests is also provided in a perforated booklet. This will allow the student to be given the tests without referring to the solutions and tests manual.

Student Notebook:

This companion notebook designed to be used with Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd Edition will deepen their understanding of the textbook as they explore what God’s Word has to say about the workings of His creation.

Help your junior high students develop the independent study skills they’ll need to learn and enjoy science in high school, the college years, and beyond. This companion notebook designed to be used with Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd  Edition will deepen their understanding of the textbook as they explore what God’s Word has to say about the workings of His creation.

MP3 Audio CD:

Please note that this is not a standard CD. It is an MP3-CD. This means that in order to listen to this CD, you must play it in an MP3-compatible CD player or on a computer.

This CD contains a complete audio recording of the course Exploring Creation with General Science, Second Edition as read by Candice Jones. Although the audio for the complete text and "On Your Own" problems is included on the CD, the audio for the study guides, tests, and answers is not included. This is the perfect accompaniment to the book for students who are auditory learners, slow readers, or have other learning disabilities that make reading difficult.
